My Candy Eyes Website Controversy

But I still want to keep everybody’s comments so hopefully mycandyeyes.com will see how many customers they neglected and soon refund your money or send your order. Here is my experience with this site:
My sister paid me to get her a pair of red circle contacts; originally I was going to get it from prettyandcute.com, but there not selling there contacts at the time, so I decided to search around and find a legit site with the best price, so I came a crossed mycandyeyes.com. I ordered the contacts on November, 28th 2009.

I realized on December 18th which was a Friday that it has been 15 business days since I order these contacts, I e-mailed mycandyeyes asking them if I would receive my order soon, because my status was still processing, they quickly answered saying “We apologize for the delay in shipping. Your order was shipped out on Tuesday, and should arrive tomorrow, or by Monday. Once again, we apologize for this inconvenience. We assure you this is not our usual service speed. Please feel free to ask any further questions.”

So Monday rolls around and no package and the next week I was quite busy to notice that I still I have not received my order yet. On the 31st I finally asked them where my package is, and why my status is still processing, when they have already shipped it to me? I get no reply back. I kept e-mailing and waiting for an answer, but I JUST DON’T GET A REPLY BACK! I got so fed up I decide to post and entry on my blog, saying there BULLSHITERS AND DON’T TRUST THEM, THERE LAIRS!

After having a few comments on my post, mycandyeyes contacted me on my post telling me they would like to resolve this problem. And of course I e-mailed them. They gave me a choice of either getting my money back or receive my order? This wasn’t my choice to make so I called up my little sister and asked her what she wanted to do and she told me she’d rather get the contacts, because mycandyeye.com will not do a stupid thing like go back on there word now that they have put on blast.

Mycandyeyes.com notified me that they shipped my order on the 4th of February, and I just received it on 19th, sure I’m happy my sister finally got her contacts, but why did I have to post a blog about the horrible costumer service mycandyeyes has to finally get a reply? SO SORRY MYCANDYEYES BUT I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM YOU GUYS AGAIN! AND READ THE COMMENTS BELOW TRY HELPING THIS PEOPLE OUT THAT YOU NEGLECTED!

 I recently heard the MyCandyEyes.com will not be selling to the United States any longer (hum ... I wonder y?).
Although the trouble with this fact is many of you have placed orders in and you living in the U.S., MyCandyEyes.com pretty much said screw you and won’t send out your orders (so I’ve heard).
MyCandyEyes you really reached a low point didn’t you, you people really need to get your act together!
For you living in the U.S. or any one that haven’t received there order, The only thing I can’t say is to write out a blog post, or post a video on YouTube saying how horrible your experience was with MyCandyEyes.com. I guarantee you, once you start getting noticed by other people who share the same experience as you. MyCandyEyes.com will shoot you a comment/e-mail saying they will give you your contacts, and ask you to remove the post or video down. And if you refuse to take down the post or video, MyCandyEyes will un-doubtingly say they will give you a free pair of lens to get rid of the post or video you have done.
You are so predictable MyCandyEyes LOL

  2. @ anonymous --- Hey! Unfortunately I did not get refunded back my money. I’ve tried many times to contact these people but they just won’t respond back. I would ask them where is the package/contacts at? Or I want my money back! I’ve tried, but only fail :(. All we can keep doing is keep e-mailing them, and spreading the word that there not a reliable company to order from. Please let me know if you get thru these people!

I’ve Googled a lot trying to find someone who shares my experience, but no luck! So I just blogged it…lOl.   5. I have ordered from mycandyeyes.com 5 or6 times in the last 3 months (3-4 pairs each order)and I always get my lenses within 12 days (thats what they say shiiping may take up to)..Sucks to hear that you had a diffrent experience.

  11. I had no problems with mycandyeyes.com. I realized that I couldn't wear contact lenses just yet and emailed them for a refund since my doctor didn't recommend me wearing any type of contacts. They gave me a refund within 2 days!

  12. I haven't had any major problems with them and I always had quick replies to the emails I sent. Although I did expect my order status to show up faster...it worked out well. It took about 2 weeks to process my order and once they shipped out the lenses, I received in 5 days.

    Also, one of the lenses I ordered no longer came in prescription and they sent me an email notification about it. They asked if I wanted a different pair or a refund. When I requested a refund, I received my money back on the same day.

    Perhaps you had an unusual experience...or did I?

  13. God I wish i found this site before i ordered, been 22 days and each time i email them they say "THE LENS COMPANY MADE A DELAY SORRY, SHOULD BE SHIPPED OUT IN 2 MORE DAYS" each time the same damn thing fucking liars x_X

  15. Thats almost exactly what happened to me, and it was going to be a gift too.
    I payed for it on jan 25 and they said it was shipped on feb 10. Well just today, on the 12th they just cancelled on me. WTF, if they sent it, they shouldn't be able to cancel it it should have been here on the 12th or the 13th, as they said when I asked them.
    I'm so pissed off right now, because I made the payment through a prepaid card, and it takes at least 30 days for it to transfer back. And i have to find another gift for my friend instead of the circle lens she really wanted.

  17. I have not recieve my orders and they replied for the first few times but then they stop replying when I asked them where my order was. That message that Jay and mycandyeyes wrote was such BS since they didn't even reply to four of my emails! SUCH A bad customer service! NEVER EVER buy lens or anything else from them!!!!!

    It also suck how they don't have a phone number to call or else I would be bitching at them. What the fuck? My order is still processing after two-three weeks. I didn't even get any notice from them. IF YOU ARE READING THIS DON"T YOU EVER BUY SHIT FROM THEM

  20. I ordered on the second of feb and I haven't recieved mine either. I've emailed and they say the same thing "we will ship your order tommorow". I've now done research and seen people on YouTube do bad reviews on this company, for failure to communicate and sending wrong orders out or not sending orders at all. at the moment I don't reccomend this site

    Ive decided to buy from http://www.pinkyparadise.com on monday, just wondering if anyone has had any problems with them?

  22. I've ordered from them on 2/20 and the lenses were shipped yesterday, 3/2. A little longer than expected, but they gave me a working tracking number, so I know where my package is.

    So far, so good.

    Sorry about anyone else's bad experience with them. These testimonials make me want to start ordering from pinkyparadise instead.

    I ordered on the feb 23rd. Until now it still processing.

    I emailed them many times already asking when are they going to ship it to me.

    They said they're going to ship it on Tuesday, today already Saturday.

    Come on.. if i knew that they will take this 3-4 weeks, i rather ordered on another website which will take this long too but i know it'll gets here.

    but look they're in US. and they said it's up to 12 days? it's already freaking almost 3 weeks!!! ><

    I just ordered from them last week now I am really scared because my current acuvue contacts are running out! If the circle lenses don't arrive in 2 weeks, I will have to go around blind.

  28. im sooo lucky i found this blog before I ordered from them!!soo...i ordered from another company called pinkcon.com! all of their lenses are in stock so you don't have to wait!! and it comes with tracking, free shipping, and a free travel case. oh yeah and it ships directly from korea so you know they are legit.

  29. the best place to order lenses from was prettyandcute.com they were fast and affordable, but sadly its no longer on the site. After reading all the bad reviews it is hard for me to trust anyone else but them. I email P&C and ask if they can help me and since i was a returning customer, not only did they replied to me instantly they actually remembered me. I got my lenses in 2 days! I only hope they continue to keep my prescription in stock lol.

    As for mycandylens.com ... The site looks super unprofessional and on other forums people say they got fake lenses and lenses took forever to come. There are way better sites out there. Thank you for this post. I was looking for a new site to order from in case i can't order from janie anymore.

    Pinkyparadise do have a lot of good reviews, that is another site i am considering, but all the way from Malaysia... shipping time must take forever!

  30. I ordered Supersize Geo lens from them on April 27th, and I've yet to receive ANYTHING from them. They said that my contacts might be unavailable, and they might be ordering it, but they said the max time for ordering is 8 days. 8 days have passed and I've received nothing, no confirmation number of anything. I am really, really angry. What terrible service.

I ordered from them at the end of april. they only sent me part of my order. i ordered 5 pairs, they sent 3 pairs so far..buh one of the pair were different colored..omg..i am annoyed..they take too long than they say they would..i am not going to order from them again. im still waiting on my order as we speak.

  32. I ordered May 14th! I wish I would've done the search for reviews on this site before I placed my order. When merchants tell you to wait 7-14 days, usually the packages come in 7-8 days or even sooner (in my experience). This is a different story.

    Granted, it's only been 12 days, but my status still say processing. I contacted mycandyeyes.com sometime last week (6-7 days after I placed my order) to ask if there are any updates on my order. They told me my lenses will be shipped out on May 24th, which was two days ago. I emailed them yesterday morning and again this morning, but no 4 hour reply! I'm sure it's not in my junk mail because I have the merchant saved...to make sure I get their emails!

    I've told them I need these lenses no later than may 28th, which is exactly 14 days after I placed my order!

    I hate it when sellers/sites promise something and then they don't deliver. It's not good business and others are right, no phone number to contact...just an email.

    If my order doesn't come by May 28th....I too, will start a blog about them, how poor their customer service is and how unreliable they are. I will also complain to the better business bureau, look for other review sites to complain to...and make sure that my blog comes up on the first page of the search engines when people look up mycandyeyes.com.

  33. wow... i wish i looked up this review BEFORE i ordered, too! TT TT

    i placed my order on may 14th and another order on the 17th (cuz my younger sis wanted some too). i e-mailed them asking roughly when my contacts would be shipped and at first they told me exactly a week. i was happy and delighted, until i realized the day they were supposed to ship it, the status said "processing." worried, i contacted them again asking what happened and they apologized saying my lenses weren't "in stock" so they'd ship it next week (which happens to be the 2 week mark). i couldn't get mad honestly cuz the site DOES claim that shipping takes 1-2 weeks. they kept mentioning that in their email saying "we are on time because our policy says ships in 1-2 weeks", but i was honestly annoyed. don't tell me it'll ship early if it's not going to be, you know??? and even a week later, AGAIN, they didn't ship it. i emailed them again asking what's up with the service and they replied saying "sorry, we are not usually like this, the person who e-mailed you was not properly informed, we will ship it no later than monday and sorry because your lenses are not in stock so we had to order from the geo company". it was supposed to be shipped yesterday. the status STILL SAYS PROCESSING for BOTH orders.

    i'm pretty patient cuz i understand people get busy and business gets slow or whatnot. but this is truly ridiculous! i agree with everyone else, don't claim you ship stuff from 1-2 weeks if it's not true! i'd rather go to another site and PAY FOR MY SHIPPING and get it ON TIME or faster than put up with this nonsense. i'd rather them be HONEST with me saying there's something wrong with the order, it will be delayed blah blah blah, but THEY are the ones who claim it will be shipped this day, and then not this day but that day, oh and not that day we meant this other day. it's getting really aggravating for me and i'm sure for everyone else.

    i JUST emailed them again saying i do not want a refund but i really want my lens no later than this thursday since i really need them to come in asap. honestly, i do not want to ever order from them again.

    for those of you who DID get your lens on time or even earlier, i'm glad!! :) i wish i was just as lucky as you guys to receive them on time.

    i wish they would have some kind of status stating whether the lens that we ordered are "instock" or not. from the looks of how everything is saying the EXACT same thing as i'm saying, i feel like it's just an excuse to get by so we won't b**** at them or something.

    i'm not saying they're scamming us because they are under paypal, so we can get our money back or whatnot. but scamming also can mean "not telling the truth to get money from other people" and this is what they are doing. they're NOT being honest nor responsible people. all us customers want is an honest reply and honest policy. not bashing on those workers personally, but their work ethics don't give me a good impression about the company itself.

    for future references for customers, i'm not gonna say "don't buy products from them" but if i do buy it, buy at your own risk. you have been warned my many that shipping is ridic slow for MOST. and for the company, please fix your work ethics, cuz we do not have all the time in the world to keep complaining about your service. thanks!

It still upsets me that the customer service was THAT bad so I'm just here to make sure the lid to the coffin mycandyeyes.com sleeps in is completely SHUT.

    "Service is very poor. I ordered from them almost a month ago (1/20/2010) and to this day, it is STILL processing. I was told that there was an "internal problem" and that my order would arrive in "6-12 business days". I've waited 2 weeks after I got that notice and my order is STILL processing. I got fed up and emailed them and THEN they tell me that it is out of stock and try to tell me that I must not have checked my email for it. I check my email (spam folder and everything) at least 3 times a day. *RAGE* I would have given them another try had they not tried to push the blame on me. I asked for a refund and can guarantee that I will NOT order from them again."

    And since the supposed owner of mycandyeyes read your post, I hope they'll continue to read all the dissatisfied comments.
    My message to the owner of mycandyeyes: You should really leave the customer service field. You guys make so many excuses and BLAME your customers (telling me I don't check my email; as a college student, I HAVE to check my email daily). It's not okay at all. Quit scamming people.

  36. I ordered them on the 26th of may. I better get my contacts or I'll be reporting this towards patents of the products. This website will be disclaimed and be reported by scamming. If failure to respond to customers in the needed time then this website shall be closed. Full refunds on all processing customers are enforced. It's okayyy :) I have everyone's back, all my father has to do is send the letter to the disclaimer's headquarters. -kawai!

  37. i ordered my lenses at may 24, and they said shipped it today. but i don't trust them at all! after i sent a mail saying that i was frustrated for waiting so long they said it was shipped on the 16th.... i really don't trust it at all! so all i can do is hoping that i get it as soon as posssible.....

  38. I ordered 2 pairs of lens on June 11th, and found this blog today. I'm scared ):. I wish I would of found this blog earlier and did more researching on mycandyeyes before I placed my order. They said that it takes 8 days to process and today is the 8th day. If the order status still remains processing by tomorrow, I'm going to email them. :\ But hopefully this won't happen to me, cuz I really need the lens, or I'll have to walk around blind T^T. Hopefully I'll get my lens within 2 weeks. So now I'm just waiting :\ sigh.

  39. I ordered mine on the 7th and I received it yesterday(19th). I emailed them twice and they replied each time. The only thing is, it still shows my order status as "processing" So they are not updating your status at all. But second time I emailed them they email me back and gave me a Usps tracking # and like I said I got it yesterday. I hope this will help....

  40. They also steal pictures from the photobuckets of popular circle lens threads online.

    When asked, they said they wouldn't take them down if the owner asked because they thought finding a picture on google meant they had a right to use them. A lot of common thieves.

    My advice, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. There are plenty of cheaper places that will deliver faster AND will be honest about their time frames.

  43. Hey, this blog was seriously SO helpful. When I put "my candy eyes circle lenses" into the google search engine, this immediately poppped up! I'm so glad that I read it, especially the last comment about the lenses being possibly fake. Circle lenses are rumored to be bad for your eyes because of the fake, poor quality ones. Anyways, I guess you get what you pay for, I was wondering why they were so cheap. Thanks again!

Im beyond upset with their customer service as well! i ordered a pair of contacts on aug 25th and havent recieved it. so i e-mailed them and said that the package was delievered already. but i never recieved it! im not blaming the site since it could be the post office's fault that it potentially got lost. mycandyeyes customer service told me that they will "further assist" me once i file a report on my package and send them a copy. and i did. so forwarded the message from the post office to mycandyeyes. but mycandyeyes never responded! they have been totally ignoring me!!! i feel like they will not fuurther assist me. they lied to me!

  48. whaat, they do not sell fake lenses. I just ordered a pair of contacts from them and they are completely legit and made by GEO. I'm sorry to hear that so many people have had bad experiences with mycandyeyes; my experience was quite the opposite. they responded to an email I sent them within just a few hours, and I received my order in thirteen days. I don't have any complaints about them.

    I placed my order on Nov 21st, and till now I haven't received anything from them. I shoot them 4 emails in total, they've replied the first 2 and told me my order will be shipped out on Dec 8th. Yet, up until now, I still haven't received anything and the web says my order is still processing. I sent them an email asking about the shipment status problem twice but they didn't reply. I don't know what to do because I will be leaving US in 4 days and won't be back until a month later... I asked for a refund, but they didn't reply as well.

  51. I e- mailed the site as soon as I found this post. They assured me that my order was sip till on time. It's been about 14 days since my order and still have not received my lenses. This company is not so good. They could have sent me a notification about a delay not wait for me to send them hate mail. I'm never ordering from this site again, just waiting for them to get back to me and I'm asking for a refund. WORST PLACE TO ORDER FROM!!

  53. Oh man why didn't I read this sooner?! I ordered like 7 days ago and it's still processing. Call me crazy but 1 week to process a damn order is unacceptable. I shop online a lot and most professional sellers will ship it out same day or next. Wow! Don't get excited about mycandyeyes being US based guys, their service is very slow.

  56. man i was too late finding this blog. i ordered on jan 12th. they didnt indicate on the site that the lens i want is out of stock. was informed only later that my item will be stocked and shipped on the 21st. of cus no shit happened. then they emailed me saying its shipped and should arrive in 7-10 days. today i checked my status and site still says Processing. fighting for my money back now. OMG same thing happened to me, i've tried emailing them, they told me my item should be back in stock and be shipped out feb 07, i still didnt get anything up to now! my order status is still processing~ it's so horrible! they won't give me a response when i try asking them what happened to my order, i ordered it jan 28.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on mycandyeyes.com and unfortunately, because their site advertises that if you post a review on youtube, you will get a free pair of lens, most of them have been "good" reviews. I ordered a pair of lens on the 14 of February and I never got a confirmation through the site. I emailed them about it and they quickly sent me my confirmation and said it was to be shipped out on the 18 of February. So, today is the 23rd and I emailed asking for my tracking number, and they told me that it hasn't even been shipped yet.. but should be shipped by tomorrow.
    If mycandyeyes is US based, I just don't understand why it takes so long. How could it possibly take 2-4 weeks to process an order?
    People should not be blinded by the "free shipping", "$20 lens", and the so called "good reviews on youtube". Maybe if you plan on going on a long vacation, then perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to order from them.. maybe by the time you come back, your order will arrive!

  59. I ordered circle lenses from Mycandyeyes.com like over a month ago and it just arrived today. Their shipping is so slow!! And they are liars! My geo lens vials don't have the geo authentication stickers and it doesn't even say "Geo" anywhere on the vials. SO SHADY!

And they names will be marred on every youtube video I see as well as me making my own personal review about how slow they are and how shitty their customer service is.   65. I wish i found this sooner... gawdamm. i ordered about 2 weeks ago, and i cant even check anything on their website!!!! i cant log in, i cant order track. NOTHING. i got a recipt email, but that was about it. i sent them a complaint today, then found this!!! im trying to cancel mi order off paypal, but since i just guest paid instead of using mi account, im wondering if itll work. im never ordering from these cats again! i usde to order from buyexclusive, but they stopped doing contacts for some reason, so mi friend said to try mycandyeyes.com. and i needed these lenses by THIS FRIDAY!! 2 days!!! i dont think its comming, so i have to go out and buy lenses that i dont want as much as the ones i ordered to suffice! IM ROYALLY PISSED. dont EVAR order from here. EVARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

  66. For me, I ordered the lens two days ago after seeing all the good reviews on YouTube. Now I realize the reviews were made probably because people wanted a free pair of lens. I hope this will turn out well, I'm kinda afraid now that they won't send my order in time, or at all. Since I live in Europe, I'll have to wait 1-3 weeks for International shipping plus the processing time 1-8 days. I'm giving them exactly a month time for my order to arrive here. I'm going for a vacation abroad in the summer and I need them before that. Sigh, I just wish I'd have found this blog earlier.

    Oh and for the people who say they sell fake lens... Just my opinion but I kind of doubt that. Erm according to the information they tell (which is not always really accurate, I know) they ship from the US and since cosmetic lenses are not approved by FDA in the US, selling them in states without prescription is illegal, so the manufacturer doesn't provide them with authentic stickers. That's how I've understood it. o.0 And yeah, that information is told by mycandyeyes. There's other ways to tell if the lens are fake, like, if it says "Made in China" instead of Korea, it's most likely fake. Besides, I think people would have noticed if they were fake by, I don't know, some kind of eye damage. I think the word would have spread fast and the site'd be down. xD
    The real problem seems to be the customer service. I really can't rant them because I'm a first time customer, so I've no experience so far, but I really hope this will not be a bad shopping experience.

  67. The bastards wouldn't sell me circle lens b/c my prescription was "brand specific". Pffffffffft! They claimed that "Federal law prohibits contact lens sellers from altering a customers prescription. Since your prescription specifies a specific brand, we can not sell you our lenses," which is stupid because I was able to purchase Freshlook color lenses from Target, even though my contact lens prescription stated Acuvue as the brand. And it's not like Target is going to break the law by selling me contact lenses that aren't Acuvue just b/c my CL RX stated that the contact lens brand is Acuvue.

    I'll take my money and business elsewhere. I'd rather spend more and purchase from an overseas website that I've used a lot in the past that was reliable than save a few bucks to deal w/ these jackasses again. I hope they better refund my money as promised b/c I'm going to be even more pissed off if something goes wrong.

Ok i am pissed off...i made an order on april 14th and it is now May 3rd. i still haven't received anything and i live in TN they are in FL? it shouldn't take no longer than 4 days to deliver...i email and they said they will ship on last thursday..well thursday passes by and my order still says processing. so i email them and they never replied til a few days later to tell me sorry for the delay blah blah we have refunded your order but will be sending your lenses for free? SO WTF! all i wanted were my lenses..i emailed back asking again and again when they will ship and now they aren't replying..i email from a different email and they reply back ? poor customer service ! we need to shut them down!

    Same as the previous person, I ordered mine on April 13, it's now MAY 10th, and after emails they've automatically refunded me, saying the lenses will be shipped for free. That is just an excuse to drop you as a customer. My order is still in the processing stage by the way. I highly doubt that it is going to be shipped to me.

    After I ordered, I found this blog. I thought, hey, can't be all that bad. Some people might've just got unlucky.

Due to some of the similar issues mentioned the order was cancelled by them and I placed a new order for lenses that were "in stock" on May 1st. It's been 23 days since the second order has been placed. I emailed them when their site said that they were no longer shipping to the US to ask about my order and did not get a response (but I've noticed that they took down the US shipping comment). I've emailed them since, but have not received a response.

  80. I ordered from MCE last year, and my order came in 12 business days later. Even after I read these comments, I still stuck to MCE because of my luck with them on my last order. Too bad my luck ran out when I ordered again recently. It's been a whole month since my order and it's STILL PROCESSING. I am asking for a refund, hopefully they'll give me my money back. I'm placing an order at Eyecandylens.com, and hopefully I'll find more luck there.

  81. I order from my candy eyes back in 2010 and I received my contacts in like 15days ish. Now I purchased from them on May 1st and what date is it now?? May 27th! Fuk them for being ignorant to all my emails because I get really mad after I sent them emails asking my order continuously for 5days and NO REPLIES. I literally keep on emailing them on the same day for 30 times for 3days! NO REPLIES.

    This website is horrible and I already tell my friends to buy me contact lenses from HK. I bet my friend's shipping will be even faster then Mycandyeyes. They are literally SCAMMING their customers.

  86. Ha. My father say it is a scam that they first gain your trust now they rob your money. All my friends who purchase for the first time received their lenses in 7-21 business days. What happen to you old customers? Rob our money? I dont care about the 30 bucks I spend on this horrible company. I already ask my friend in HK to buy lenses for me directly and in fact it only took about 7 days to ship from HK to the US. Isnt this ridiculous? Mycandyeyes in the U.S and it is taking forever to process orders. I dont think this is their main business, they are just doing this selling lenses thing for entertainment income.

  97. So Ive ordered from mycandyeyes about a month ago May 9? Its honestly been a month now and I still haven't gotten my prescription lenses. I love how they already charged me on my credit card and I still haven't received nothing. I've e-mailed them many times and they still haven't responded back to anything, I'm really frustrated and I have no clue what to do. I live in the U.S and I heard they changed their shipping grounds or something. Does anyone know how to contact them? besides e-mailing them? Is it possible to report them to the authorities? Cause this is very ridiculous.
